Our Trip To England, March-April 2007

HEATHROW

Two sights we saw all over Britain, including driving to the airport: golden fields of flowers in sunlight...

...and sheep with lambs dotting the countryside.

One other sight we'll miss: ring-necked pigeons among daffodils.

The Radisson Edwardian Hotel at Heathrow, where we spent an unscheduled night courtesy United Airlines.

We walked from the hotel to the Pheasant, which was crowded with both locals and Americans watching the Arsenal-Newcastle match. Since only the pub was open, we had to eat outside with the kids.

Then we took a walk in the neighborhood...

...past this park with flowering trees.

The large banquet room where we were fed dinner and breakfast buffets.

This is the fountain under the trees at the back.

A gratuitous shot of a double-decker bus, because what is a trip to London without one?
