Our Trip To England, March-April 2007

STANTON DREW STONE CIRCLE

The Stanton Drew stone circle.

Boys in front of one of the larger stones...

...and with the sheep that were right by the circle.

Most of the nearby sheep had lambs.

Adam tried hard to get close enough to pet one.

The largest nearby tree appeared to have been struck by lightning.

Several nearby farms surround the circle.

The village church is visible from within the circle as well.

The Druid's Arms stones are just by the church.

These three megaliths are not part of the circle, but date from around the same era.

Local families were picnicking by the stones and climbing on them.
